The Biden Administration and New York City have teamed up to offer all-expense-paid undocumented migrant vacations to The Big Apple that include travel, accommodations, and full-meals at the historic Roosevelt Hotel centrally located in the middle of Manhattan’s Times Square.
Qualifying individuals without identification can turn themselves in as refugees at The San Ysidro Port of Entry border crossing. All guests will upon entering the United States be given $900 in cash as initial resettlement money, which they can spend on whatever they wish (e.g. entertainment, food, clothing, bus fare, winter coats, etc.).
Guests will also be assigned to a federally funded non-government-organization (“NGO”) resettlement guidance counselor that will provide concierge assistance to obtain Refugee Cash Assistance that provides up to $2,904 in cash over an eight month period for guest incidentals.
For those traveling on to New York, the NGO concierge will arrange $300 direct flights from San Diego Airport to New York Kennedy Airport at no-charge to refugees. Their new NGO concierge will meet them at the gate and provide transportation to the Midtown heart of New York City.
New York City has arranged 1015 rooms at The Roosevelt Hotel (named after Teddy) that normally is priced at $249 per night. The luxurious 4-Star rated hotel opened in 1924, is located on the corner of East 45th Street and the fashionable Madison Avenueshopping strand. The iconic hotel opened in 1924, is famous for its lobby's grandeur, with its regal staircases, intricate chandeliers and ornate columns.The Roosevelt has recently often been a featured set location in blockbuster movies, including the original Wall Street and Men in Black 3.
Guests will be provided with free hotel food that includes the famous Roosevelt $25.95 All American Buffet breakfast that features potatoes, bacon, sausage, French toast, oatmeal, cold cereal, house made almond granola, yogurt, whole and cut fresh fruit, milk sliced cheeses and cold cuts with an assortment of breakfast croissant, mini muffin, sourdough bread and fruit pastries, fresh-cut fruit with berries.
