Gov. Newsom Buys $9.1 Million Marin Mansion to Ramp Up 2028 Presidential Run

Gov. Gavin Newsom just bought a $9.1 million curated mansion from billionaire Hyatt Hotels heir Daniel Pritzker in the very posh Marin County neighborhood of Kentfield to be closer to Silicon Valley cash to launch his 2028 presidential campaign.
The man of the people whose 2022 campaign slogan was “Courage. For a Change,” acquired the property through an opaque LLC that shielded terms. The new 5,609 square foot California modernism estate fitted with outdoor sculptures, features six bed-rooms, five and a half bathrooms, walk-in closets, swimming pool, spa and guest house.
The latest 2028 U.S. Presidential Election Betting Odds have Republican J.D. at a better than 3 to 1 favorite, followed by Democrat Newsom at about 7 to 1. The leaders are followed by a gaggle of four Democrats and Republican Vivek Ramaswamy.
Democrats are apoplectic over Trump’s ability to win the 2024 presidency on the cheap. Between July, when Kamala Harris kicked President Biden and the last reporting period on October 16, the Democrats went from a $75 million campaign fundraising advantage over Trump. But by the end of October, that advantage swelled to $618 million. (Total Democrat spending is estimated to have been over $1 billion more than Trump).
The Harris campaign spent a mind-boggling $496 million on advertising between July 21 and October 16. That was over $100 million more than Trump spent in the two years before he won the trifecta of the popular vote, Senate Majority, and House majority.
Harris spending included $2.5 million on 3 digital agencies that work with online influencers, $900,000 to advertise on the exterior of the Las Vegas Sphere, and unknown amounts on a guerilla sky drone shows before the September debate and late October Pittsburgh Steelers game show in the fog that called Trump a “Steel Job Killer.”
Newsom claims to be rallying Democrats by focusing on what he calls the California “Resistance” to the right-wing Trump agenda. But Mountain Top Times’ analysis determined that the vaulted lawfare-based Resistance amounts to the equivalent of a not-so-frightening sum of about 26 minutes of the state’s annual spending.
Newsom knows that the real problem for Democrats is that the California’s after-taxes and fees income for someone making $60,000 per year is just $37,000. A huge chunk of middle class cash goes to social workers and not-for-profit supporting the Homeless Complex, who have no interest eliminating the homeless that funds their activities.
Before Biden was booted, Newsom aired a television ads in Florida to warn that “freedom is under attack” by Republican leaders, he published newspaper ads in Texas criticizing Gov. Greg Abbott’s policies on abortion and guns, and rentedbillboards in 6 conservative states advertising California’s government-funded abortions.
Newsom as a California leftist cultural warrior must deal with the reality that the national electorate has shifted broadly to the right. Democrat Obama consultant Matt Rodriguez commented that Newsom’s “Resistance” campaign appears to be stuck with the challenging message: “If you didn’t love the first movie, you’re gonna love the sequel.”
