Pres. Biden Outperformed Democrat “Dump Joe” Place Coup Expectations

Post-presidential headlines screamed “Dems freak out over Biden’s debate performance: ‘Biden is Toast,’ but the palace coup plotters led by Obamas and Clintons to “Dump Joe” set expectations so low that President Biden slightly outperformed.
Progressive operatives have been not-so-quietly running a campaign for over a month to “Dump Joe” as the Democrat presidential nominee and bring in Michelle Obama or California Governor Gavin Newsom. Hillary Clinton warned in a New York Times op-ed two days before the debate that Biden’s age was a “legitimate issue.”
The CNN debate instant poll found that by 67 percent to 33 percent, its viewers thought Trump had a better debate performance than Biden. But the same viewer sample before the debate expected Trump to outperform Biden by 55 percent to 45 percent.
The CNN found that 57 percent of viewers in their post-debate poll said they had “no real confidence in Biden’s ability to lead the nation, versus 44 percent that said they had no confidence in Trump leading the nation. As a result, 81 percent of registered voters who viewed the debate said it had no effect on their choice for President, and just 5 percent said it had changed their mind on who to vote for.
Ballotopia found that President Biden’s approval poll ratings for the 178 th week of his term was 39.6 percent, with his weekly averages over his presidency ranged from 54.4 percent high to 38.4 percent low. Former President Trump on his 178 th week in office was 42.4 percent, and had ranged from a high of 46.2 percent to a low of 37.3 percent.
No serious Democratic challengers stepped to run against Biden in the primaries. At this point in the campaign with Biden controlling a super-majority of primary votes, he would have to choose to step aside and let Democrats were to pick another presidential nominee at their August 19 th through 24 th in Chicago. The contested 1968 convention in Chicago was very violent and led to Republican Richard Nixon winning big.
The Democrat coup plotters had been whispering that Biden would perform much worse than he did. Biden’s voice was raspy, and he appeared to forget words and lose track of his train of thought, but there was no freeze or walking away from the podium.
One of my best political odds makers now doubts the coup plotters can quickly dump Biden. He expects the Democrat insiders will refocus on getting Trump sentenced to jail or home confinement to keep him off the campaign trail, and potentially igniting a Republican regime change movement that could flip control of Congress for a decade.
