Syrian Jihadist Rebels Cut Deal With Russians

The Qatari backed Sunni ‘Command of Military Operations’(“CMO”) completed its conquest of Syria by cutting an agreement to let Russia keep its naval and air bases.

With the Biden administration focused on creating the biggest mess possible for the in-coming Trump administration, the Qataris mobilized a 60,000 combatant alliance with Al Quada’s Fatah Mobin and about 13 other Sunni factions to conquer Syria in two weeks.

With the Black Flag being raised over the capital city of Damascus; the Israeli Defense Forces invaded Mount Hermon to the East; the US-supported the Kurdish PKK/PYD/YPG (‘Syrian Democratic Forces’) grabbed a deep ‘buffer zone’ along the south side of the Euphrates River; the Turkish-controlled Syrian National Army (SNA) attacked the PKK/PYD/YPG from the north; multiple armed uprisings of local Sunni Arab tribesattacked the PKK/PYD/YPG from the east; while Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Russians withdrew to their fortified bases at the ports of Latakia and Tartous; and about 20,000 well-armed Christian contingents of Bashir Assad’s former army moved back into their historic strongholds in the Jabal an-Nusayria Mountains.

There is lots of speculation that the Afghanistan’s Taliban sold much of the $7 billion of American weapons left behind in 2021 withdrawal to all the competing factions in Syria.

Taliban’s Inspector General of the Ministry of DefenseLatifullah Hakimi claimed Jihadists captured about 300,000 light arms, 26,000 heavy weapons, approximately 61,000 military vehicles and huge amounts of ammunition imported mostly from the US.

The Taliban licensed weapons dealers in bazaars across Helmand, Kandahar, and Nangarhar provinces were recently offering American night vision goggles for $500 to 1,000, and M4 carbines for up to $2,400.

The new Syrian war only lasted for two weeks because Turkey’sErdogan, Iran’s Khamenei’s, and Russia’s Putin sent emissaries to meet with Qataris a week ago in Doha. As a result what is being called the new “Astana Peace Talks”, Assad and his family were granted Russian asylum and were just seen with Putin in Moscow.

The victorious Syrian Jihadis are already pardoning thousands of captured Assadist soldiers, police officers, and civil servants to administer the CMO liberated areas. About 1-2 million refugees are from returning from north-western Syria and Türkiye.

The USA appears to have backed the wrong horses in Syria, after the American funded insurgents in Dera’a and Suwayda provinces switched allegiance to the CMO. As a result, suppressed Arab Sunni tribes now control 75 percent of Syria’s population.
