The biggest triumph of Donald Trump on November 5th was not Democrats, it was sweeping American socialism back into the dustbin of history.
President Trump in his 2019 State of the Union Address to both Houses of Congress declared to his largest media audience of the year: “Tonight we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.”
Axios branded the speech as “America First v. Socialism.” They observed that, “Republicans loved the freeze frame of Democrats sitting emotionlessly” as Trump railed against illegal immigration and late-term abortions, and for criminal justice reform.
2016 Donald J Trump for President top campaign official Jason Miller praised how the President had “elevated the wedge issue of 'socialism' in a way nobody else could.” Trump made it clear that he intended to run for reelection in 2020 by doubling down on the same policy themes and symbols that powered disruptive 2016 campaign victory.
The New Republic rallied their hard-left readers in pivotal article titled ‘Trump’s Attack on Socialism Is a Colossal Blunder.’ They argued the speech showcased Republicans in the chamber—"nearly all rich white men”—standing and cheering for a demagoguery.
Trump’s 2016 win according to the New Republic, had forced the Democrat Party establishment to seed more power and control over 2018 candidate selection and messaging to its most liberal wing.
Democrat socialists such as Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New Yorksought to motivate high levels of leftist engagement by advocating for policies like 70 percent tax rate and ‘Medicare for all.’
A 9-point advantage over Republicans in votes cast in the 2018 elections, allowed Democrats to flip 41 House seats in 2018 for their largest gain since Watergate. They also came within two seats of taking control of the U.S. Senate.
Progressives over the next two years, egged on Antifa and other radical groups to launch protests and burn down large swaths of U.S. cities. The mainstream media blatantly criticized and fact-checked President Trump in his 2020 reelection bid, while allowing Biden to coast to victory under the vail of a global pandemic.
Washington Post described President Biden as bowing to progressives “to minimize the market by maximizing government's role in allocating society's resources.”
Biden over the next four years, thrilled socialists by implementing prescription drug price negotiations, signing a gun control bill, issuing emissions-cutting regulations, re-entering the Paris Climate Agreement and forgiving $169 billion in student loans.
But Bidenomics also ran almost $8 trillion in deficits that caused one of the largest inflationary spirals in history.
Trump returned in his 2024 election campaign to regularly slam the “pure socialism” of Kamala Harris’ economic policies and call her out for shoddy math on the cost of her economic proposals.
The U.S. Census Bureau reported in its Household Pulse Survey just before the 2024 elections, that about 155 million people were having trouble making ends meet week to week, and 21 million people went hungry at least sometime in the past week.
President-elect Donald Trump won a historic popular vote mandate and will take control of both Houses of Congress in January. CNN’s data analyst Harry Enten called Trump’s comeback victory “astounding,” and incredibly bad for the party of “joy.”
As Trump sweeps American socialism into the dustbin of history by installing the capitalists at every level of the U.S. government, it seems poetic justice that 2024 is the anniversary of the death of United Soviet Socialist Republics’ founderVladimar Lenin.
What a wonderful feeling, having won!
