Just like Vladimir Lenin’s revolutionary comment: "There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen;” President Trump over the last three weeks has caused revolutionary changes to global political and economicpolicies.
President Trump has developed a model for exercising American leadership both at home and abroad. He begins by making demands of opponents, then calls for negotiations. If the negotiations do not take place or fail to produce some kind of accommodation, he takes punitive action. All the while, he alternatively issues threats meant to intensify the process or encourages action by praising his opponents.
Trump despite Israel exerting financial and political pressure, refused in mid-June to be drawn into a Middle East War with Iran. Israel then launched aerial bombings of Teheran, causing Iran to retaliate with devastating hypersonic missile attacks on Tel Aviv. When both combatants ran low on munitions, Trump notified Iran to not retaliate when the U.S. conducted a staged one-time bombing of the 3 key Iranian nuclear sites.
Trump then declared victory for the U.S.; allowed Israel to claim victory over the Ayatollahs; and Iran to claim it was wiping Zionists off the map. When Israel and Iran kept bickering, Trump said both parties “don't know what the f*** they're doing.”
With NATO counties’ refusing to spend 5% of GDP on their own defense; President Trump on July 1st unilaterally canceled further negotiations with Russia and noticed Ukraine that the U.S. is suspending shipments of key anti-aircraft missiles.
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly commented that “decision was made to put America's interests first following” a Defense Department "review of our nation's military support and assistance to other countries across the globe.”
The same day, Trump shuttered the U.S. Agency for International Development (US AID) and transferred its $71.9 billion budget and activities to the U.S. State Department.
Trump then ditched the Biden Administration’s 2023 plan to move the FBI Washington DC headquarters three-hours away to the Democrat powerhouse state of Maryland by announcing the FBI would take-over US AID’s 355,000 sq. ft. lease in Washington DC.
FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement, “We are ushering FBI Headquarters into a new era and providing our agents of justice a safer place to work. Moving to the Ronald Reagan Building is the most cost effective and resource efficient way to carry out our mission to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution.”
Having discombobulated The Deep State global agenda, Trump shifted gears to play Congressional domestic hard-ball to pass his “One Big Beautiful Bill.” The bill included extending his signature 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (ACA), while taking a blow-torch to Democrats’ signature Green New Deal and Obamacare Medicaid expansions.
The $7,500 Electric Vehicle credit will now expire on September 30, 2025; the Energy Efficiency Home Improvement Credit will expire on December 31, 2025; all commercial solar, wind, and battery projects not completed by 2027 will lose all incentive credits; and any project made with components from “Prohibited Foreign Entities” (primarily China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea) will be banned from receiving any credits.
On the Obamacare; the One Big Beautiful Bill reverses Biden’s2020 to 2024 Medicaid eligibility expansions for 13 million healthy, non-working young adults without children.
Traditionally, state governments had contributed 43% of Medicaid cost and the federal government contributed 57%. But Biden maximized Medicaid expansions by making the federal government responsible for 90% of added costs, while states paid just 10%.
Furthermore, Biden let states like California and North Carolina charge a 10% tax on managed care firms and doctors, effectively causing the feds to pay 100% of expansion. Trump’s move slashed $1.25 trillion in federal health spending to pay for his tax cuts.
Congressional Budget Office forecasts that U.S. debt will still increase by $300 billion per year, but down from $1,7 trillion per year under Biden. With Trump getting America out of paying for Ukraine and Middle East wars, the U.S. budget could be balanced.
As President Trump prepared for One Big Beautiful Bill’s July 4th White House Picnic signing, his detractors are in grief. But the President has already taken a victory lap in Iowa to tout the bill to his re-energized admirers as a “birthday gift” to the United States.
Vladimir Lenin St. Petersburg speech 106 years ago at First Congress of the Communist International declared the victory of the Soviet system and the assurance of a worldwide communist revolution. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R., La.) after passing OBBB claimed: “We are at the precipice of the New Golden Age of America.”
