By half way through the interview I saw what Michael was saying. The public school classroom student population must be shrunk drastically. He said he believes that the teacher needs help in the classroom, and as I see it, that means help at home, the parents. Students need that focused, unhurried, unstressed parent(s) that is dedicated at home to be the student's extra help, and so the teacher's extra helper. By dedicated at home, I mean probably a stay at home, full time mom; even if her child is at public school part of the day. Students, in a general way overall, are not supported at home and it's seeping into the classroom. You cannot be focused at home, if your attention is stretched thin by working outside the home also.
